This workshop is intended to be a safe space for anyone in the helping profession to learn and practice psychodrama and other experiential methods. Psychodrama and action methods are powerful tools for our clients; we learn how to use these techniques through practice. Helping professionals who choose to attend will learn and get support from others in their community while practicing the skills.
Learning objectives:
1. Participants will utilize the social atom as a tool for self-diagnosis of
personal/professional well-being.
2. Demonstrate the use of doubling, role reversal, mirroring, soliloquy, scene setting, and
the practice of psychodrama warm-up, action, and sharing.
3. Identify areas of personal/professional burn-out and access personal strengths and
factors of resilience.
4. Participate in learning sociometry to build group cohesiveness and support.
5. Practice the basics of professional self-care in a supportive community.
